Do the ska-ska-ska and the reg-gae with guitarist Vic Wong! Returning to his youthful roots playing early Jamaican music, Vicky has composed two brand new instrumental ditties for your enjoyment.
First up: "La Rondalla", a delightful number drawing from both traditional ska and Cuban cha-cha ('ska-cha"?). It's uplifting melody is dedicated to one of his earliest jazz guitar heroes: Ernie Ranglin. Raynier Jacildo's effervescent ivories elevate the whole affair.
Next: "Ain't Afraid" a spine-tingling reggae track that will have you shaking... on the dance floor! "I tried to imagine a spooky ghost and what that ghost would sound like as reggae and then it became a song," says Wong. Don't listen to this one alone, folks!
